About me Greetings. I am Lukáš Mikula from the Czech Republic, the individual behind the creation of this blog. From the earliest stages of my youth, I found myself utterly captivated by the world of technology. Regardless of whether it was an antiquated television set with a single channel or an old-fashioned gramophone, I derived immense joy from delving into their intricacies and exploring their functionalities. Around the time I turned 15 years old, I was fortunate enough to receive my very first computer. The model was a 486, a popular choice at the time, and it came equipped with 4MB of RAM. To gather the necessary funds to afford this technology, I dedicated many of my weekends to working at a local bakery nearby. In my memory, there’s a vivid recollection of a particular incident that involved me and my mother transporting a computer on a wheel cart across the city. This was when we didn’t have the luxury of owning a car. The computer, a bulky piece of machinery, was challenging to move, but we managed it nonetheless. The very next day, we found ourselves in a predicament. I had inadvertently deleted a partition using a fdisk tool, and despite my best efforts, I could not rectify the situation. This led us to return the computer to the technician from whom we had initially acquired it. And of course, it involved another wheel cart travel across the town. As I watched the technician skillfully restore the partition, I was engrossed in the process. It was a pivotal learning moment for me, igniting a spark of interest in software and hardware exploration. This incident occurred when the command line in MS-DOS was the dominant interface for computer interaction, and Windows 3.11 was just on the brink of being released to the public. During my teenage years, the optical mouse was very popular, and the CRT monitor was praised for its excellent 640×480 resolution. With a collection of CDs and straightforward access to my computer’s hardware, I frequently tinkered with it. Throughout my life, I’ve devoted most of my time to working with a keyboard. I utilized computers for music composition, DJing, and video editing. I also engaged in photo editing, document writing, and internet exploration. Despite working in a computer shop for approximately two years, I never secured an IT-oriented job again. Over the past few years, I have been employed as a graphic designer. Currently, I am focusing on personal and professional development. I have begun to acquire sales skills and am involved in selling property insurance over the phone. History of Computers is a tribute to my deep-seated affection for technological advancements. Initially sparked by a series of trivia videos on TikTok, the integration of AI also inspired me to embark on blogging. On my own, creating this content would have been a daunting task. However, with the assistance of technology and AI, I can now craft articles and generate questions for my trivia videos with unparalleled ease. If you share my passion for technology, you’ve come to the perfect spot. Despite the seemingly simple task of producing content with AI, it requires a significant investment of time. I collaborate with affiliate partners to help compensate for the time and financial resources I dedicate. Your support is greatly valued.
